Targeting Myostatin
Myostatin is a member of the TGFβ superfamily of protein growth factors and is mainly expressed in skeletal muscle cells. Myostatin works with other growth factors and hormones to regulate muscle mass by limiting growth.
As world leaders in myostatin biology, Scholar Rock has pioneered a unique anti-myostatin therapeutic approach that targets the latent, or inactive, form of myostatin with exquisite selectivity to inhibit, or prevent, its activation.
We remain committed to further advancing therapeutic approaches to potentially transform the treatment of other rare, severe, and debilitating neuromuscular disorders.
